Eyestone spent the Winter in Santa Fe painting these
twelve FIESTA FLOWERS. These blossoms are
drawn from the background fabrics she has incorporated
into her paintings over the past decade, and they wrap
around all four sides
of the unframed canvases. The
FIESTA FLOWERS were featured at the artist's recent
Texas exhibition. They are all sold.
AN UPDATE FROM
I am beginning a new passage as the Artist and Curator at the
historic La Posada de Santa Fe Resort and SpaTM on Palace Avenue,
near Canyon Road, several blocks from the plaza in Santa Fe.
When I was a child in New Mexico, the elegant La Posada was my
Grandmother’s favorite hotel, so it has always been mine! You can
imagine how thrilling it is for me to have my own original oil paintings
on these hollowed walls alongside the work of other American artists I
so genuinely admire.
As Curator, and with the help of my husband, David Molin, we are
expanding La Posada’s incredible art collection and creating a docent
program for inspired art tours to guests and local visitors. We intend
to reestablish the “glory days” at La Posada with a painting school that
dates back to the 1930’s when accomplished artists painted on the grounds
and taught hotel guests and New Mexican residents. I paint here, and it is
La Posada is an amazing art destination in “The City Different”. My
husband and I welcome you to experience the splendor of staying in
the lap of luxury while you visit Santa Fe. Let us know when you are
coming, and join us for a drink at La Posada’s fabulous, famous bar!
